How to clean the chiller unit?
The main fouling of chiller units comes from scale, which is relatively soft in hardness and has a thin layer. Almost every millimeter of hard scale can affect the heat exchange rate by 10% to 15%, resulting in an increase of 5% to 10% in power consumption; Chemical cleaning can cause severe corrosion, and when used frequently, the chiller unit will automatically trip and enter a protective state. Easy to affect the normal use of the chiller.
After long-term operation, the compressor will produce dirt inside, and in severe cases, it will completely block the pipeline, causing the exhaust temperature of the compressor to exceed the process requirements. Therefore, the compressor must undergo regular descaling and cleaning.
There are tricks for cleaning chiller units
The cleaning of chiller units mainly includes sterilization and algae removal cleaning, as well as descaling cleaning.
1. Sterilization and algae removal cleaning
The purpose of sterilization and algae removal cleaning is to kill microorganisms in the system and remove the biofouling adhering to the surface of the equipment. Firstly, use high flow tap water to flush the cooling and freezing pipelines, trying to remove loose dirt such as dust, sediment, algae, and corrosive substances from the system as much as possible. At the same time, check for any leaks in the system.
Using (microbial killing agent+mud stripping agent), bacteria and algae in the cooling water and chilled water systems are killed, and biological mud stripping is carried out. The capacity of the cooling water and chilled water systems is measured by a water meter, and an external water replenishment tank is used to indirectly add 300PPM/t of microbial killing agent and 800PPM/t of mud stripping agent. After cleaning, the water temperature is measured every 3 hours during the cleaning process. When the turbidity curve tends to balance, the cleaning is ended. It takes about 6-8 hours. After sterilization and algae removal, the water in the pipeline system is relatively turbid. It is diluted with supplementary water and discharged from the sewage outlet.
2. Scale removal and cleaning
The purpose of cleaning with cleaning solution (descaling agent) is to use the cleaning agent to dissolve the scale and oxides in the system and dissolve them in water to wash them away.
