Troubleshooting of screw chiller refrigeration compressor
Troubleshooting of screw refrigeration compressor is a problem that many customers may encounter. Taking the commonly used Hanzhong compressor as an example, EuCologne Refrigeration will analyze the possible fault conditions and possible causes that may occur during use.
Screw freezer
1、 The temperature protection of the compressor motor coil of the screw freezer may trip due to the following reasons:
1. Low refrigerant pressure and high temperature at the suction port (possibly due to insufficient refrigerant or recent filter blockage);
2. Excessive motor load, insufficient cooling, or lack of device for liquid cooling spray assisted cooling may also indicate failure;
3. The coil protection switch has malfunctioned;
4. Poor or faulty electrical system;
5. Poor motor coil, caused by excessive temperature rise;
6. Excessive suction superheat caused by poor heat dissipation;
2、 The compressor cannot be loaded, and the refrigeration effect of the screw chiller cannot be guaranteed. The following points should be considered:
1. Low ambient temperature and high viscosity of lubricating oil;
2. Capillary blockage, caused by clogged oil filters;
3. Foreign objects stuck or unable to close the discharge port of the volume adjustment solenoid valve, or the volume adjustment piston stuck, can also cause blockage of the volume adjustment oil circuit;
3、 The possible reasons why the compressor cannot be unloaded can be analyzed from the following points:
1. The wear of the volume adjustment piston ring makes it impossible to completely seal the air, and a large amount of refrigerant enters the volume adjustment hydraulic cylinder;
2. Fault in the capacitance adjustment solenoid valve coil, or incorrect control voltage of the solenoid valve coil;
3. The gasket of the exhaust section cover is damaged, and gaseous refrigerant enters the hydraulic cylinder;
4. The volume adjustment piston is stuck;
5. Caused by poor control program of the crew;
4、 The poor insulation of the compressor motor causes the screw chiller to malfunction, and the possible reasons are as follows:
1. Poor motor of the compressor, damp or condensed wire joints of the motor, poor or stuck wiring terminals of the motor due to dust and foreign objects;
2. Poor insulation of electromagnetic contactor;
3. Internal acidification of the system, damaging insulation;
4. Long term coil insulation degradation during high-temperature operation, or frequent coil degradation during startup;
5. The moisture content of the refrigerant is too high;
5、 Possible reasons for motor failure to start or Y - ∆ inability to switch:
1. Full load startup, the capacity regulating valve has not returned to its initial state;
2. Caused by low voltage or voltage error;
3. The starting voltage drop is too large, causing the electromagnetic contactor to fail to engage, or the electromagnetic contactor to be faulty;
4. Motor malfunction;
5. Underphase and reverse phase operation;
6. Motor protection switch action, or motor coil wiring error;
7. The Y - ∆ startup timer is faulty, or the contacts of the Y - ∆ wiring are not securely locked;
8. The reason for restarting the screw chiller before the last shutdown time reached 3 minutes;
9. The overcurrent setting is too small, or the air switch is selected improperly;
6、 The compressor of the screw freezer should be checked for abnormal vibration or noise:
1. Whether the bearings are damaged, whether the rotors are overheated and rub against each other or against each other;
2. Compressor liquid compression, or system pressure malfunction;
3. Insufficient lubricating oil leads to poor lubrication of mechanical parts;
