Main reasons and treatment methods for high pressure alarm of water-cooled chiller
1. The high-pressure alarm of the water-cooled chiller is mainly related to the cooling water system. The water-cooled unit provides circulating cooling water through the cooling tower. If you forget to open the cooling water valve while using it, causing the cooling water to be unable to circulate and supply to the chiller, a high-pressure fault will occur; Additionally, it is necessary to check if there are any malfunctions in the cooling water tower that prevent safe and stable delivery of cooling water.
2. This problem can also occur if the cooling water flow rate is too small or the temperature is too high and the heat dissipation is not good. The cooling water flow rate is small, and it is necessary to check whether the size of the supporting installed pipes matches the size of the chiller, or whether the water valve is opened to the maximum position; If the temperature is too high and the heat dissipation is not good, for water-cooled chillers, check according to the previous item; If it is an air-cooled chiller, we need to check if the temperature of the installation environment exceeds 40 ℃. If it does, we must promptly remove heat to ensure that the unit is in a circulating air environment.
3. If the cooling water cannot be circulated and supplied to the chiller unit, a high-pressure fault will occur; Additionally, it is necessary to check if there are any malfunctions in the cooling water tower that prevent safe and stable delivery of cooling water. Long term use of water-cooled chillers can easily lead to the accumulation of scale and other debris on the pipe walls or condenser copper pipes, which will inevitably affect the refrigeration cycle system. Therefore, users should regularly maintain the chiller.
4. Check if there is an excess of refrigerant. Water cooled chillers are filled with an appropriate amount of refrigerant before leaving the factory. Therefore, without refrigerant leakage, users do not need to charge refrigerant during use. Excessive refrigerant will only affect the normal use of the unit.
5. Is the opening degree of the expansion valve too small. Users can slowly adjust the opening degree of the expansion valve to troubleshoot.
