Maintenance and upkeep of industrial chiller condenser
How to carry out maintenance and upkeep of the condenser of industrial chiller components? Below, the Oukelong Refrigeration editor will provide a detailed answer and analysis for everyone.
Any condenser equipped with a chiller will gradually decline in performance over time, resulting in a higher condensing pressure than during normal operation. In order to prevent the properties of the condenser from deteriorating, regular maintenance and upkeep of the condenser are necessary. We have listed the following points for everyone regarding this.
1. The condensers used in small refrigeration equipment mainly include air-cooled condensers and water-cooled condensers. According to the type of condenser, the way of cleaning scale is also different. Here are two commonly used types of condenser maintenance: 1. Air cooled condenser uses air as the cooling medium. Due to the presence of dust in the air, some of the dust will adhere to the outer surface of the condenser fins. Over time, it will deteriorate the heat dissipation effect of the condenser, especially in harsh environments, so it should be cleaned regularly. The cleaning method is: simple dust can be blown clean with compressor air, etc. If there is a lot of dirt, non corrosive cleaning agents should be used to clean the heat dissipation pipes and fins to improve the heat dissipation effect.
2. For water-cooled condensers, the main issue is to remove scale. The cleaning cycle depends on the water quality, and those with poor water quality should be cleaned at least once a year; Good water quality can be cleaned once every 2-3 years.
3. The condenser used with small water-cooled chillers can be cleaned with a specialized cleaning solution for heat exchangers. The specific operation method is to remove the condenser, drain the accumulated water, and then pour the cleaning solution into the pipe until there is a solution flowing out of the outlet. After the cleaning solution is left in the condenser for 20-30 minutes, it can be released. Repeat this process two or three times, and finally install the connecting pipe between the cooling water pipe and the condenser. Open the cooling water valve and rinse for 10-20 minutes. The anti scaling and cleaning work is completed.
4. In the refrigeration system of industrial chillers, the compressor, evaporator, condenser, and throttling device are the four essential components of the refrigeration system. The condenser is a device that releases heat, transferring the heat absorbed in the evaporator along with the heat converted by the compressor to the cooling medium for removal. It plays an important role in the refrigeration system, and a decrease in performance directly affects the refrigeration capacity of the chiller.
